Copyrighted Materials |
Books, Manuals, Workbooks
We cannot copy an entire book, manual, or workbook without written authorization from the publisher. |
Sections of Books, Manuals, Workbooks, or Periodicals
- We cannot copy more than one chapter or article out of any copyrighted book, manual, workbook, or periodical for teaching purposes without written authorization from the publisher.
- If a work was published before 1906, or is not copyrighted, it may be copied to an extent the customer desires.
- We reserve the right to question or deny copying requests which appear to violate copyright laws.
|
Photocopy Usage |
- The copyright law of the United States, codified at 17 United States Code, governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
- Under certain conditions specified in law, a photcopy of other reproductions may be made.
- One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research".
- If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement. (Adapted from 37 C.F.R. 201.14)
- This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a photocopy order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order will involve violation of copyright law.

Lamination |
- Lamination should be considered a permanent process.
- The quality of our lamination is usually superb, but should a project, poster, etc. be damaged or ruined during the lamination process due to human or machine error, replacement is limited to lamination only.
- If an item is valuable, priceless, or irreplaceable, the risk should be considered carefully by the customer before the lamination process is ordered.
